About
Marie Kang is a private violin instructor specializing in structured, serious instruction for students ages 8 through adult. Trained in Violin Performance at the University of Washington, she draws from over a decade of rigorous study focused on tone production, phrasing, and performance psychology.
With professional performance experience across Seattle-area venues as a soloist and chamber musician, Marie’s approach blends Suzuki principles with traditional European pedagogical methods, allowing her to adapt precisely to each student’s needs while maintaining a disciplined, goal-oriented environment.
Marie has years of private teaching experience, working with students at all stages of development. Her students have earned placements in the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras (SYSO), All-State Orchestra, NAFME, and local honors ensembles. Lessons emphasize technical mastery, musical expression, and the development of serious practice habits critical for long-term artistic growth.
