Marie Kang is a private violin instructor specializing in focused, structured instruction for students ages 7 through adult. She studied Violin Performance at the University of Washington, and draws from over 18 years of serious study with an emphasis on tone production, phrasing, and performance psychology.

With professional experience as both a soloist and chamber musician in Seattle-area venues, Marie blends elements of the Suzuki method with traditional European pedagogy to meet each student’s needs while maintaining a disciplined, goal-oriented environment.

She has years of private teaching experience and has worked with students at all stages of development. Her students have earned placements in the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras (SYSO), Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO), All-State Orchestra, NAFME orchestra, and other local honors ensembles.
